In the 1950's, the Guerlain family decided to create a fragrance based on the surprising roots of vetiver.
After a few trials, the Guerlain Perfumer succeeded in making a subtle dosage that recalls the exhalations of the earth in the pale dawn light.
This evocation of the world's first morning is enriched with a woody accord and the refined elegance of spices and tobacco to give rise to a rare and sophisticated fragrance.

With its modern geometry and rigorous shapes, Vétiver is an ever-fashionable figure of authentic French elegance.

FRESH, WOODY, NATURAL, SOBER, ELEGANT.

Vétiver draws its character from an innovative accord in perfumery, crafted on the basis of vetiver, tonka bean, nutmeg and tobacco.
The fragrance opens on the spontaneous, piquant freshness of citrus fruits with orange, bergamot and lemon.
At the heart, spices such as nutmeg and pepper intensify the fragrance, before giving way to vetiver, tobacco and tonka bean.

Vétiver draws its character from an innovative accord in perfumery, crafted on the basis of vetiver, tonka bean, nutmeg and tobacco.

Incidentally, Guerlain offered a dilution of Vétiver, which was a bestselling fragrance in Mexico for quite a long time.

Jean-Paul Guerlain was inspired by this scent to create Vétiver.
